The Appeal

Porsche's engineers can't help themselves. The firm's models constantly evolve and none more so than the 924 and 944.

This car is proof. It is one of the last 944s built and a rarity at that - just 100 RHD Turbo Cabriolets left the factory.  As a final car it benefits from the raft of ongoing improvements introduced by those engineers, including more power, better handling and tweaked aesthetics.  All of which built on what made the 944 special in the first place - near-perfect weight balance and, of course, a heavy drizzle of Porsche magic.

Finished in attractive slate grey metallic with a black leather interior, this Turbo is in very good order. You'll likely spot a key to its appeal—that 5-speed manual. Then there is the extensive history file that shows continuous and significant investment in recent years. In 2024 alone, it received a full fluids change, including the diff, gearbox, and brakes. It comes to market with a reassuringly long MOT to October 2025.

This is an enthusiast-owned 944 in very good order.  Whether you're here for the open top motoring or the Porsche-infused dynamics, it looks very tempting.

With its impressive, sculpted bodywork, the 944 is an attractive swathe of sharp angles running alongside smooth, subtle curves. It’s a real looker, a car that represents the best of Stuttgart’s design team with - of course - those ever-essential pop-up headlights. This example has been beautifully cared for, with very little signifying its advancing years.
The cabin of this 944 Turbo looks fantastic. The upholstery has clearly been cossetted—we can spot very little sign of wear and no significant damage across the interior. Perfectly comfortable and cossetting, the car is a wonderful place for both passenger and driver.

The Mechanics

  • 2.5L 2.5 L M44/52 turbocharged I4 powerplant
  • Five-speed manual transmission
  • One of only 35 known RHD manual examples in the UK
  • Beautifully presented engine compartment
  • We’ve no reports of any leaks, knocks, bangs or smoke
  • The car is reportedly starting first time with the turbo working as expected
  • Recently serviced
  • The mechanical history proves that the car has wanted for nothing over its life
  • We understand the car is ready and waiting to be driven away
  • Recent replacement of diff, gearbox and brake fluids
  • Extensive history file as shown in photographs
With plenty of paperwork backing a consistent routine of care and servicing, the car’s life has been a quiet and uneventful one. With MOT until October 2025, this example is in very good order and should prove to be a very reliable companion out on the roads.
