Description
Engine: The power unit is that of the Ducati Pantah 750, 90° longitudinal L-twin cylinder. Exact displacement 748 cc. Maximum power 69 hp at 8, 000 rpm. Maximum torque 6. 7 kgm at 7, 000 rpm. Single overhead camshaft distribution, with desmodronic control. Compression ratio 9. 6:1. Air-cooled. Fed by two Dell'Orto PHF 36 carburettors. Dry multi-disc clutch. Five-speed gearbox. Chassis: the frame consists of a load-bearing chromolybdenum steel tube trellis. The frame features an upper trellis with hanging engine. The swingarm is made of boxed and welded sheet steel. It is bolted directly onto the engine to bring the swingarm axle as close as possible to the sprocket axle to reduce stress on the chain. The two steering bases are original Bimota and hot stamped in avional 14 as are the footpegs, levers and handlebars. Machined from billet are the footpeg plates. The oil reservoirs for the front brake and clutch controls are located above the fork stanchions. The choke control is located in the centre of the steering plate. The front suspension is a Marzocchi M1 'single-spring' with 42mm stanchions and externally adjustable anti-dive. The only spring is in one stem, the other comprises the hydraulic circuit. The rear suspension has an adjustable Marzocchi monoshock. The front brake is a 280 mm Brembo dual floating disc, with Serie Oro calipers. The rear brake is a 260 mm Brembo floating disc. The rims are Bimota, breakable, pressed aluminium and riveted. They are coloured with black epoxy paint. The wheels are 16". The tank is made of reticulated polyethylene. Fibreglass bodywork. Dry weight 160 kg. Colour: white fairing with tricolour stripes.
