Description
The coupés and convertibles were overdue to complete the new limousine series W111/ 112. While the ponton convertible 220 SE was still selling but its design was outdated. Finally, and about 6 months after the arrival of the coupé, the new 220 SEb Convertible was introduced at the International Motorshow in Frankfurt in 1961. This classic car undoubtedly has one of the most beautiful bodies Mercedes has created after World War II. Starting in February 1962, the high end model, the 300 SE Cabriolet was also available. With these two very exclusive cars, Mercedes offered a variety of high end technology like nobody else in the market.
Our Mercedes-Benz 300 SE Cabriolet is from the first series. Its color combination of dark red with a cream colored top and a Cognac colored interior is superb and only 1, 200 cars of this model were made. This classic was completely restored and has since been driven approx. 3, 000 kilometers and is registered in the Netherlands.
