We are proud to offer the rare opportunity to own this stunning MV Augusta F4 1000 Veltro Pista Race Bike. This example is number 20 of just 23 bikes that were produced and is in immaculate condition and supplied serviced and with paperwork that includes the MV owners handbook.
Veltro is Italian for greyhound, and is also the mascot of Gruppo 23 of the Aeronautica Militare (Italian Air Force), who's logo features on the bike. Finish is matt black and there are graphics in the style of a WWII Italian fighter plane.
The 2006 F4 Veltro came in two models, the F4 Veltro Strada, (the road version) and this the F4 Veltro Pista race bike. Ninety-nine examples of the Strada were produced, but only 23 examples of the Pista. The engine is from the Tamburini, producing 185 bhp featuring the TSS system. The machines were built at the Cagiva Research Center in San Marino and considered by to be the most race-oriented F4's made.
The Veltro is equipped with a full complement of carbon fibre (fairings, tail, airbox, mud guards, fenders, air ducts, heat shield) and magnesium frame plates) and in addition on the Pista an oversized radiator, carbon fibre fuel tank, and a magnesium triple clamp and swinging arm, which brings the weight down to 159 kg. Being for track use only, the Pista is not equipped with lights.
