Description

The El Camino's are an incredibly sought after vehicle in the collector car market.

They have, depending on the year, usually low production numbers - thus enhancing their value.

They sport the benefits of a utility vehicle, yet retain the performance of a muscle car from the same era. This example adheres to that rule and is equipped with the venerable 350 cubic inch Chevrolet V8 Engine.

El Camino’ translates from Spanish as ‘the path’ or ‘the way.’ It is an appropriate name for a car that signaled a new direction for General Motors (GM). From 1959-60 and 1964-87, the Chevrolet El Camino was a vehicle hybrid, combining the practicality of a pickup truck, passenger car comfort, stylish design, and, with the Super Sport package, high-performance muscle.

ABOUT THIS CAR

Imported into New Zealand from the USA and first registered here in 2015, this 4th generation El Camino, retains its factory trim and spot aftermarket steel wheels with period perfect BFG tires.
The body work and paint denote this has been a meticulously well maintained ride. Restoration photos available and listed here.
 Some service history available.
Mechanically sound - starts first pop and drives very nice.
Great fun Classic. Cool UTE... they don't make them like this anymore, rear wheel drive, v8, automatic.
Great performance and gas mileage for a 31 year old vehicle.
Not too many of the 73-77 left around anymore.
Nice summertime cruiser, lots of comments wherever it goes.

The Chevrolet El Camino delivered unique design and muscle to an otherwise industrial pickup truck. Its presence in popular culture as a cult classic car has increased its desirability.

The versatile El Camino cleverly dances between different automotive segments, finding a great middle ground. Its fan base spans muscle car aficionados, truck enthusiasts and luxury car buyers amongst others.

Classic El Camino's are predominantly found for sale in the USA, although a few do surface in New Zealand, with average prices increasing on all generations.

TRANSPORT / WORLDWIDE SHIPPING CAN BE ORGANISED ON THIS VEHICLE ON BUYER'S BEHALF AT BUYERS COST.
