Description
A UK supplied MG TD from new. Built on the 24th April 1952 registered KTR 111 and it was Clipper Blue from new. There is also a file record showing the car was in the Hampshire area which concurs with the previous owner saying they bought it from a specialist based in the New Forrest in 1993. Subsequently exported to Guernsey attending events and rallies and used very little over the last few years. The car is still Guernsey registered.
In 2021 the car had extensive re-commissioning works undertaken to include work to the brakes, clutch, cooling system, electrics, fluids replenished and running and driving as it should be. Painted wire wheels are fitted, which is an unusual addition for a TD.
Finished in rare colour of Clipper Blue with black leather, which was not a standard factory colour, however you were able to specify a colour and the car was built to that specification. Closer inspection shows the wooden frame and metalwork to be in very good original condition. It looks like the car has been painted in its life, some time ago but it still presents well.
The interior looks like the original carpets, interior leather and weather gear all in good order and nicely mellowed with age. A very efficient heater is also fitted for those winter drives. The car has a hood, tonneau cover, and side screens all in good condition.
A very original matching numbers example of the model in good solid condition that drives very well after recent commissioning works have been undertaken. In a very rare light blue (Clipper Blue) with black leather trim and a pleasure to drive. Additional pictures are available on request and we can assist with the import process if required.
