Description
The successor to the Jaguar E-Type, the brand new XJS was introduced at the IAA in Frankfurt/ Germany in 1975. The media was confused: The XJS, initially only offered as a coupé, was a Gran Turismo in its best sense but not really a successor to the sporty E-Type. At first, the impressive coupé was only available with a 12-cylinder engine but starting in 1983, one could also buy the newly developed six-cylinder with 3. 6 liter capacity and four valve technology. For a short period of time the XJS was also available as Targa but the really well designed Jaguar XJSC Targa was offered by Arden, the German Jaguar enhancer. The Targa optimization cost an extra of DM 10, 000 at the time which was a steep price so only 50 of these models were shipped.
Our Jaguar XJSC Targa was delivered in Hamburg by the highly regarded Jaguar dealer Vidal & Son. The classic is currently with its third owner and a low mileage of 86, 000 km. An extraordinary, very rare Jaguar Targa with six-cylinder aggregate and manual gear shift which guarantees pure driving joy. Splurge a little!
