Description
This is one of the best MGB driving experiences in terms of performance and handling whilst retaining comfort.
This chrome bumper 1973 MGB Roadster has been rebuilt on a British Motor Heritage bodyshell and refinished in Tartan Red with a black interior (leather seats). The car has had a full engine rebuild to fast road spec 1900cc with +80 special tuning pistons, including a balanced and lightened flywheel, Piper BP270 camshaft, unleaded gas flowed cylinder head, free flow manifold and stainless steel exhaust system. It had a reconditioned drive train and numerous new parts fitted during the restoration along with an electronic ignition and perfectly tuned SU carbs with K N air filters. With an uprated suspension using Ron Hopkinson handing kit, low profile tyres on 15" alloys and servo assisted brakes, the result is excellent road holding. The black vinyl hood is in very good condition along with a full black tonneau cover, a recent boot carpet set, inertia seatbelts and a sports steering wheel.
The professional rebuild was commissioned by the current owner in 1999 and it has been cared for and thoroughly enjoyed in fair weather conditions ever since. The MG has been serviced by Snowdens since 2008 and this is a reluctant sale by our client after over forty years ownership.
This MGB is for an owner who wants to drive.
