Together with the stamped service book we have an A4 binder containing a large collection of invoices detailing work carried out, correspondence from Rolls Royce to the previous owner and MOT history from VOSA. The car has been maintained with no regard to expense and always at marque specialists despite being little used. The car also benefits from 4 new Avon narrow band whitewall tyres
Initially supplied by Jack Barclay to a Mr Ford of Hickling Pastures, the car was retained for two years before passing to a Mr Toone of Billesdon with 11, 000 miles recorded. Mr Toone kept the vehicle for 21 years using it only for high days and holidays and covering just 6, 000 miles during his tenure, the car being serviced exclusively at respected marque specialist Michael Powles approximately every 1, 000 miles. The vehicle passed to it's 3rd owner in 2013 with 16, 923 miles covered and was immediately submitted to Fearon's, another well respected specialist, with instructions to do whatever was necessary, the bill amounting to over £4, 000 is with the paperwork. At this time the underside of the vehicle was cleaned extensively and heavily undersealed to protect it from corrosion. Again, the car was used only for special occasions and was kept in a bone dry garage with a small collection of other vehicles, every single one of which was in immaculate condition. The enthusiastic owner carried out 2 services himself at 17350 and 17470 miles with invoices for parts present in the service portfolio indicating that the engine oil, filters and coolant were changed. Eventually the car was submitted to Fearon's once again for the final service detailed above which included an air conditioning system overhaul.
We initially purchased the car two and half years ago and sold it to a gentleman who lived in England but had business interests in Europe and Asia. The gentleman kept the car for two years and covered just 700 miles as he is often out of the country, despite this he had the car thoroughly serviced at the Chelsea Workshop, spending almost £7, 000 on the car so it would be ready for use when he was back in the UK. The car was always garaged and kept immaculately clean by the gentleman's driver. The gentleman also had fitted a modern Blaupunkt DAB stereo system in the period style with very similar appearance to the original unit and completely in keeping with the vehicle.
The car drives flawlessly, the engine especially quiet and everything working exactly as it should, just as you would expect from a vehicle which has covered such a low mileage and been serviced only by well respected marque specialists. This is easily among the very best available and will not disappoint.
Finished in beautiful Midnight blue with magnolia hide complemented by dark veneers with matchwood inlays, the rear compartment complimented by footstools and vanity mirrors. The entire car is in really quite superb condition, the interior showing little signs of ever being used, the leather, woodwork and carpets all perfect and factory fresh. The paintwork is deep and lustrous and appears to be original throughout, this is a car that has clearly lead a pampered life and been very well cared for.
