Description
This 1904 Phoenix Tri-car is powered by a V twin-cylinder 4 ½ horsepower air-cooled 500cc Peacock engine. It has a three speed gearbox and a reverse gear. Prior to us owning it, the Phoenix has had extensive work done by Henal Engineering, including a total engine rebuild and two Amal carburettors fitted, totalling £22, 000. 00. All of which is on file and included within the files.
The brakes and transmission were recommissioned in late 2019 however since then it has stood in our museum so may require some light recommissioning work. The bodywork and paintwork is in great condition for its age. There is a wicker passenger seat on the front (perfect for the mother-in-law) and a small tool box on the back.
This vehicle is London to Brighton Veteran Car Run eligible with it completing the run many times, most recently in 2018. It has accompanying paperwork including old MOT certificates, V5C, a Science Museum certificate and a VCC Dating certificate.
