Description
Classic Car Design offers you this beautiful Mercedes 280 SE from 1969. This ship of the road owes its elegant and statutory aesthetic to the talent of the famous French stylist Paul Bracq. It has only known three owners in France, the first for several decades.
On the outside, this car is in very good overall condition. It was taken over in 2017 by the renowned Mercedes GGE garage, which specializes in classic models. On this occasion, the car has been completely repainted and will be sold at the Rétromobile show in Paris. Obviously, on this car, no trace of rust, the many chromes are complete and in very good condition overall. On the whole car, we will note only a few minor defects of use.
On the inside, the cabin is superb and slightly patinated but above all it is totally original and has never been restored! Beyond the quality of the materials, we can imagine the care that has been given to this car during its last 54 years. Manual and maintenance book are present. At the time, the upholsteries of the Stuttgart brand were less austere, we appreciate the shades of maroon, the woodwork, the charm of the white steering wheel and the fine gearshift.
Mechanically, the car works very well. In 1997, the owner of the time sent the car to Mercedes in Germany for a complete overhaul of the entire mechanicals. A recent compression test shows that the engine is still in good health.
Here is a beautiful German, rare on our roads, she has nothing to envy to some English prestigious cars. Beyond its beautiful condition, this car was revised last September and will be sold with a 12-month warranty. A sedan ready to drive for family ride…
