Description
Nice Ford Consul (Granada Mk1) powered by the 2. 0 pinto engine, which is powerful enough and very realiable and easy to maintain.
The car started its life in Belgium an was imported to Spain in 1977 by its owner when he came back to its native Spain. The car stayed in the same family since and driven until late 90’s. It was then dry stored in the garaje until I bought it some 5 years ago.
After I bought the car it was subject of an extensive mechanical service in order to put it back on the road. These jobs included:
- Brand new fuel tank fitted
- Brand new front calipers, brake lines, pads, etc
- Brand new exhaust system
- Brand new tyres
- Radiator cleaned and new water hoses fitted
- Head gasket replacement, rebuilt cylinder head, brand new water pump, timing belt and auxiliary belt
- Brand new spark plugs and leads
- All fluids, filters replaced
- Front bushes replaced
- Etc.
The car has got ITV (Spanish MOT) and can be driven everywhere.
Exterior is untouched and it still looks Ok despite some age related marks/ bubbling here and there and it’s subject of improvement if you want to get the car 100%.
Interior is also original, door cards and dashboard are in very good condition and seats upholstery would benefit from some restoration job.
In summary, this is an original, unmolested 51 year old car that has remained most of its life in the same family and that it has been recomisioned after a 20 year break. It’s now in very good mechanical condition, it drives really well and smooth and it can be driven everywhere. Aesthetically looks nice and turns heads every time I drive it.
The car has all Spanish documents Ok.
We can help with the export to other countries or transport to other Spanish locations (at buyer’s expense)
