Clients abandoned restoration project, Our client has put together a brief history of the car:
?The car was acquired in 3rd Sept 1987 and required restoration
????? The car body and engine was restored by my father in 1990 and used as a second car in good weather until 1996.
?Due to family circumstances, the car was put into storage and was not used. My parents separated and my father had lost interest in what had been a member of the family for a good few years.
??????The car then sat covered up on a driveway for 22 years.
??????Over this time, my father and his friend restored other vehicles.
??????Unfortunately my father fell but decided to make one last attempt to restore the car in 2018.
???????By the time that my father passed away in 2019, it was running and restored to some degree although this was never fully completed.
???????In 2020, the family made a decision to complete the restoration
?????????Following a detailed inspection, the decision was made to conclude a substantial refurbishment of the chassis and bodywork
????????Over the course of the last 3 years, a substantial amount of money has been put into this restoration and although our budget has been exhausted, the car requires further more work to complete the restoration that we can no longer afford.
????????It is therefore with a heavy heart that we must exit this project.
???????Hopefully someone can see the level of detail and cost we have got to with it and can take this forward.
We are not receiving any reward for finding a new owner for this car and are only helping out our customer to find a new owner who can finish off this great project.
