Description
The Bentley Turbo R is a fine machine but they don't make good project cars. It makes sense to buy the best you can find and it will bring you years of pleasure from both driving and ownership. This incredible example was supplied by Jack Barclay of London on the 14th of May 1996 and registered with the number 'BR 1'. Ordered in a special Jack Barclay colour of Silver Dollar, a gorgeous pearlescent paint with hints of silver, yellow and blue depending on how the light falls on it. Complemented by hand painted magnolia fine lines, polished chrome radiator shell and special order grille insert this car turns the heads of Bentley aficionados as well as every one else who lays eyes on it.
The interior was ordered with equal care with colours that complement the exterior perfectly. The magnolia leather is in beautiful condition and is complemented by the Aegean Blue piping, top roll and steering wheel. The immaculate Norse blue carpets and lambs wool over rugs give a slightly nautical feel to the whole interior. But by far the most impressive feature of the whole car is the eye wateringly pretty birds eye maple wood trim which as well as the usual dash board, door tops and vanity mirrors, extends to the rear picnic tables and all four door panels. The rich yellow gold of the wood is still as vibrant as it was back in 1996 and has an almost pearlescent quality, a true pleasure to behold. (Can you tell I like this car?)
