Description
In the mid-60s, there was a boom in mid-engined sports cars. Lamborghini was the first with the sensational, if impractical Miura. The Ferrari 365 BB followed, then the De Tomaso Mangusta and even Porsche brought out the 914/ 6. This put Maserati in a tight spot. The successor to the Ghibli also had to be a mid-engined sports car. The result was the Bora, which could be seen for the first time at the 1971 Geneva Motor Show. Ital-Design had indeed succeeded in finding a comfortable solution with the best looks. The shape of the body came from Giugiario, the technology from Alfieri, both masters of their trade. The Bora was called the aristocrat among the super sports cars with a mid-engine.
Our Maserati Bora with all Dutch documents (first regsitration in 1976) has been extensively restored in Germany and has been registered there since 2021. This classic car is in top condition and wants to be driven.
