Description
Mr Darcys are offering for sale, the Holy Grail of Mk 2 Jaguars. This 3. 8 manual with O/ D car was originally supplied in May of 1964 to a Mr S Cooper in Bulawayo Rhodesia (Zimbabwe).
Finished in pristine Old English white paintwork, and red vinyl interior it is rare to find them in this condition. Vinyl interiors were supplied in Africa instead of leather due to the very high temperatures, and leather would dry up and split. The car came to UK in 1997, and was subsequently imported to Ireland in 2007. Her owner in Ireland has had her since, and she was housed in a bubble, with very selective dry weather use. All maintenance was carried out as required. Everything is working as it should, and it drives like a 3. 8 litre should. These Jaguars are increasing in value at a tremendous rate, and make a great investment opportunity. Personally, I would prefer to use it as much as possible, as it take you back to the times when cars were cars. 220BHP in 1964 was quite the car to drive, and with a 0 to 60 in 8. 5 seconds, it could still hold its own today. There are over 60 photos on our website - details above, but if you have any questions please give us a call. Viewing is strictly by appointment, and we are open Monday to Saturday. The car is currently on an Irish plate, but can be returned to her UK registration (DRR239B) for £55 if required. We can arrange delivery, and also offer storage facilities if required.
This car can also be imported to EU countries with little cost, as it is currently on an Irish (EU)registration.
