Der Mercedes 190 SL (W121BII) entstand auf Anregung des US-Importeurs Max Hoffmann. Der erste Prototyp wurde 1954 in New York präsentiert und vom Publikum und der Fachpresse begeistert aufgenommen. Das noch leicht veränderte Serienmodell wurde dann 1955 auf dem Genfer Automobilsalon gezeigt. Der formschöne Roadster verkörpert wie kein anderes Fahrzeug das „Wir-sind-wieder-wer-Gefühl“ der Wirtschaftswunderzeit. Mit 25. 881 gebauten Fahrzeugen erwies sich das Modell als überaus erfolgreich, insbesondere in den USA. Viele Prominente wie z. B. Grace Kelly, Alfred Hitchcock oder Frank Sinatra präsentierten sich mit dem Roadster.
Dieser außergewöhnlich schöne Mercedes wurde 1956 in die USA geliefert und gelangte in den 90 er Jahren zurück nach Deutschland. Das Fahrzeug wurde vor einigen Jahren durch einen 190 SL-Spezialisten vollständig restauriert.
Das Fahrzeug besticht durch seine attraktive, elegante Farbkombination und seinem erstklassigen Zustand.

Description:
The Mercedes 190 SL (W121BII) was created at the suggestion of the US importer Max Hoffmann. The first prototype was presented in New York in 1954 and was enthusiastically received by the public and the trade press. The slightly modified production model was then shown at the Geneva Motor Show in 1955. The beautifully designed roadster embodied the "we-are-who-again" feeling of the economic miracle era like no other vehicle. With 25, 881 vehicles built, the model proved to be extremely successful, especially in the USA. Many celebrities such as Grace Kelly, Alfred Hitchcock or Frank Sinatra presented themselves with the roadster.
This exceptionally beautiful Mercedes was 1956 delivered to the USA and returned to Germany in the 1990s. The vehicle was completely restored a few years ago by renowned 190 SL expert.
