1957 BSA A7 Goldstar look
Here we have a great useable BSA A7 Alloy hub model , I was lucky enough to come across this bike when collecting a part from a pair of brothers who's business is to build race classic bikes and very good at it they are too, winning the classic tt amongst other things 4 times in a row in their class , so we aren't talking folk who don't know their onions , there were many bikes in the collection that would grace any museum and I was lucky enough to buy only the second bike they have ever sold. This was also the first bike they ever restored way back in 1996 and its done a massive 2 miles since
This bike has been sympathetically restored not to concourse but really nice useable in the fashion of the go faster version of the day, but enginewise totally gone through and everything replaced with new and given the racing pedigree of these 2 its fairly safe to say really well too. it doesn't even leak oil on our floor good grief it more resembles a touring Rocket Gold Star and that wont suit a purist but its what everyone did back in the day , there are a load of pictures of the restoration underway on proper photographs
The bike runs and rides great and starts easy for old Brit bike. every part was replaced with new and more recently stainless rims and spokes were added
there are a load of bills etc , we only have a an older style V5 we have spoken to the DVLA and this old one will generate a new immediately but will have to wait to tax it , I don't want to put in our name as its showing 0 former keepers since 2003, its on the DVLA system but the plate is non transferrable
Its not a super mega show pony just a fantastic admire and ride 64 year old bike
Fantastic rideable and useable addition to any collection or a great way to fire yourself at the sunset
If you want to be the talking point and envy of your mates this will do it.
HPI clear of course just ready to play
Truly stunning piece of British history ready to rock and roll and get you out in the breeze
Thanks for looking Matt and Lisa
