Based on the Turbo R -The Turbo S is a strictly ltd-edition model and introduced as a more powerful and sportier variant. with just 75 vehicles intended to be produced and each fitted with a number plaque on the engine indicating which number out of 75 that vehicle was. Effectively a stop-gap model before the introduction of the Bentley Arnage. Just 60 units were produced making it the rarest of the Bentley SZ Series making it highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike. Distributed across selected European, Middle Eastern and Asian markets and only offered to existing customers.
Of the cars 60 vehicles produced, 29 were Right Hand Drive and 31 were Left Hand Drive.
All 75 vehicles were to be based on a standard short wheelbase body; however, car number 1 was accidentally built using a long wheelbase body. Apparently, the production line was told to take a standard car and manufacture it to the S specification but they were not told specifically which wheelbase it should have. The mistake was only noticed by the M. D. of Jack Barclay at the official unveiling.
This vehicle is number 17, and has been enjoyed by the current and previous owners for 52, 604 miles. The vehicle was first registered in August of 1995 and has spent most of its existence in the United Kingdom. Looking through the extensive history supplied with the car. It was exported to Hong Kong and used there for a period of time before returning to the UK.
Exterior

Presented in Metallic Red Pearl, with colour coded bumpers, the paintwork glistens in the sunshine. Sitting on 17” Continental R vented alloy wheels, wrapped in Michelin Latitude tyres. Engine and Performance
Under the Bonnet, The Turbo S boasts a formidable 6. 75-liter V8 engine, delivering a commanding 402 BHP. The engine termed a ‘Blackpool version’ used Bosch Motronic fuel injection and digital ignition derived from Formula 1 technology, and with a larger exhaust driven Garrett AirResearch turbocharger with water cooled intercooler. The Blackpool engine was also fitted to twelve Bentley Continental S models, and to three special build Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit S. A viscous differential had been fitted to permit full utilisation of the engine’s brute force with optimum traction and control. Top speeds of 155 mph and 0-60 in just under six seconds a very impressive figure for a vehicle os its size and weight. The Turbo S also boasted advanced suspension and braking systems, ensuring a smooth and composed ride despite its powerful performance. It was a true grand tourer, offering a perfect blend of comfort, refinement, and exhilarating driving dynamics.
