It received a complete new lack in the matching Carmen red, the interior trim is completely and beautifully original with that patina and smell we all love. The sporty colour scheme fis perfect for a Coupé...
The car is not pristine nor perfect but healthy with traces of use and with some nice details confirming its originality such as the laminate sticker on its front window (from the manufacture), original reverse light...
Under the svelte bonnet is a 4. 2 litre straight-six engine fed by triple SU carburettors and coupled to a four speed manual transmission.
Manufactured on July 8th 1965 this two-seater Series 1 Coupe was new delivered in Belgium were it stayed with its first owner for several years. With its second and third owner, the car moved to the Netherlands.
It has been used for weekend drives and longer road trips proving to be reliable and a thoroughly enjoyable example.
The vendor reports that the car runs and drives very well. The rich history file shows a thorough and carefull maintenance all over the years by the several owners (3). A Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate is also present.
