Description
We are not just talking about an MG B Roadster 1. 8 from 1972, but about a very special MGB 1. 8 that was newly delivered in America at the time.
This MGB was restored in America in the late 1980s and came to the Netherlands in 1991. Back then in burgundy red with its original soft top.
In December 2016, the owner decided to completely convert it to rally specifications of ?WORKS?. All of this is very well depicted in several photos and the MG was given the color Tartan Red and work began on the overall construction. For example, a roll bar was installed and the spoke rims were painted black with Vredestein Sprint tires and racing mirrors, not to mention the sports steering wheel. The MGB slowly got a rally look! They also chose to install a hard top. In the accompanying documentation we see various invoices for ordered parts such as a stainless steel exhaust manifold and a stainless steel exhaust and electronic ignition, brake discs were installed and the engine has been completely overhauled.
All things that made the MGB even smoother and, above all, better to drive. There is a printout of a session on the test bench. It is fair to say that there is an amazing MGB here with more than enough power to participate in rallies.
The technology of the MG is at least as beautiful as the exterior and interior. If we look at the invoices available with the car, we can only say that the MG has been very well maintained and has never lacked anything. The MGB also has an overdrive and we have its Heritage Trust certificate available for inspection. The technology of the MG B has already been completely overhauled. The 1. 8 liter four-cylinder is linked to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive.
