Description
This Italian convertible was recently uncovered in Georgia, USA. Having been with the same owner since 1976, the Fiat 1500 cabriolet has probably been in hybernation since the early 1980's.
Having survived relatively well in the friendly southern US climate, the body is rather well preserved. It will need metalwork however, most visibly in the sill panels, floors and lower rear quarter panels and valance. The body panels appear straight, with no signs of major repair work.
Originally a red car, it was repainted in a brighter orange some decades ago.
The engine is blocked and needs to be completely rebuilt. It comes with 2 radiators, and some old stock service parts. The power unit is mated to a standard 4-speed gearbox.
This classic Fiat is an unmolested survivor that derserves to be thoroughly restored.
Our Fiat 1500 cabriolet has a US title (Georgia) and EU import documents (duties paid).
