This 2007 Porsche Cayenne S is something of a rarity, as it is a facelift 957 with the 4. 8 litre V8 engine, combined with a six-speed manual gearbox. Given that manual V8 cars were already a rarity in 2007, and V8 manual SUVs were practically non-existent, it is in some ways impressive that this car was offered by the manufacturer, let alone ordered and built. It has been in my ownership since October 2022, covering some 14, 500 miles in that time, and I can confidently say that it is one of, if not the best all-rounder that I have had the pleasure of owning.
This car has been as bit of a 'do-it-all' car, providing comfort and entertainment throughout the year. It isn't a particularly high specification car, as it doesn't feature a multi-function steering wheel, heated seats or even air suspension, but it doesn't need all of that, either. It is something of a rarity among SUVs (and a particular friend of mine will disagree with me) - as it is a driver's car.
When I first purchased the car it was fully serviced, had new tyres fitted, wheels refurbed, had new front brake discs and pads fitted and some other minor jobs. I appreciate that the red wheels may not be to everyone's taste, and I am happy to offer the set of silver 'Turbo' wheels for sale for an additional cost, preferably with a new set of tyres. I am also happy to paint the mirrors back to their original colour free of charge. Since that initial service, the car has received oil and filter services at 5, 000 mile intervals, and a full service at 10, 000 mile intervals.
The exterior condition of the car is generally good, but there are some marks in the paint, and a small amount of damage to both bumpers that predates my ownership. There is an opportunity for the next owner to cosmetically improve the car's paintwork, but it is not in bad condition. The interior of the car shows gentle wear to some surfaces, and a couple of dents in one of the rear seats that has been used for a child seat.
The car's history file is sadly incomplete, without an accompanying book pack. It does feature invoices from throughout the car's life, with work carried out by main dealers and specialists. This paperwork includes servicing, clutch changes, maintenance and repairs. The car will also be sold with a fresh MOT
