Description
The Fiat 2300 S Coupè, registered in Ancona on 17 May 1965, is one of the first examples of the second series. This version has updated wheel covers, new chrome profiles and some more refined details on the inside. The first owner used the car only occasionally and then passed it on to the grandson of the famous racing driver Luigi Fagioli.
It remained in the same family for many years and was only used for important vintage car rallies. In 2015 it was purchased by the current owner, who decided to subject the Coupé to a conservative restoration. The example we are proposing to you at the time of the restoration was totally free of rust, but the bodywork was dismantled and repainted respecting the colour and characteristics of the period.
The interiors and leather seats, which are in excellent condition, have only been renewed by specialists in order to keep their charm intact. From a mechanical point of view, given the low mileage, the car was still in fairly good condition, but the engine, transmission and chassis were disassembled in order to restore each component to perfect efficiency.
After the restoration, the Coupé was only used for events or rallies, and on those occasions its refined and powerful mechanics could be appreciated. Asi Targa Oro homologation, original black pages and plates, AciSport regularity card complete the equipment. Ready for viewing and test drive by appointment at our premises.
