Description
Cotton motorcycles were produced in Gloucester from 1918 until 1978, then for a short period from Bolton. They had significant success in road racing and later scrambles and were well regarded for the strength and design of their frames. They are now quite rare.
This bike is a 1960 registered Cotton with 197cc Villiers 9E engine / 4-speed gearbox. It's in beautiful condition and runs and rides very well. It was comprehensively restored a few years ago including an an engine and carburettor rebuild and fitted with a bespoke fuel tank, aluminium front and rear mudguards, "Electrex World" electronic ignition, new tyres cables and brake and all consumables renewed.
We bought this bike with various others some time ago but we now rarely sell motorcycles and concentrate on classic cars so we have just reduced the price - it's now great value.
