Description
The Porsche 914 appeared on the market as a commercial alternative to the 911, the latter being much more expensive than its predecessor, the 356. The car was produced in various versions, all with the same lightweight bodywork topped with a Targa roof and manufactured, like most Porsche bodies of the period, by Karmann. The 4-cylinder engine was available in 1. 7L, 1. 8L and 2. 0L versions, the most powerful being the European 2. 0 (100 bhp), like our example.
This car spent its life in Spain before joining a private French collection of around fifty vehicles in 2020. Restored over the last few years, the upholstery appears impeccable, as does the bodywork in its original "Ravenna Green" colour, as evidenced by the body plate located in the left pillar. The Targa roof is in excellent condition with no leaks, and the upholstery is totally in keeping with the vehicle's colour and the seventies era. The density of the seat foams is optimal. The vehicle runs perfectly. The engine starts very well both hot and cold, and revs well with a pleasant crackling sound thanks to a stainless steel line that emits a few delicate crackles on deceleration, which will delight the ears of its new owner.
