Description
The first versions of the T1 (Transporter 1st generation) were called T1a. T1b was a car with a slightly longer roofline above the front window and a smaller engine compartment. From model year 1963 onwards the cars were referred to as T1c; the tailgate was wider. In addition, the hinged loading doors on the side were replaced by a sliding door in the same year. The introduction of what was initially called a heavy transport Transporter - it could transport 1000 kg of freight instead of 750 - proved so successful that this version became the standard Transporter. The model was available with a new 1493 cc engine (called 1. 5L or '1500') delivering 51 hp. After the Beetle was equipped with the same engine from 1967, the power was increased to 53 hp.
This camper that we present here has been completely restored and looks like new! It has also been appraised and was classified Class 1. This is the highest an appraiser can assign. The engine has also been completely overhauled and runs perfectly. The bus has two imperials and the color scheme is white/ grey. The entire interior has also been newly installed.
