Description
We have almost finished the refurbishment of this vehicle, and it should be ready end of July beginning of August
A genuine one family owner from new, very low mileage. UK supplied manual E-type. The 12 roadster
We were delighted to be able to purchase this car
It is a matching numbers UK supplied right hand drive V12 E Type roadster !!
This vehicle was fully repainted in 2017 at a cost of nearly £10, 000
It is for the most part a very nice Repaint .
However, there are areas on the car that need improvement
As an example, we now have the Bonnet off in our restoration facility, and we are fully refurbishing the inside of it.
There were a couple of minor issues around the body. We are also attending too.
The engine has been subject to regular maintenance and it had approximately £5000 spent on it several years ago.
However, whilst we now have the bonnet off, we have noticed that the frame needs getting At and a small oil leak on the engine needs rectifying and the engine needs a good Detailing.
So we are having the engine coming out, it is going to a specialist for a full overhaul and for Detailing.
Whilst the engineers out, we are fully refurbishing the frame
So underneath the bonnet will present as new.
The interior was fully refurbished in 2023 at a cost of nearly £4000. However, it is not good enough so we are getting that all done again.
We are putting a new hood on the car.
The hood on the car is in excellent condition but it is vinyl not mohair
We are putting on a mohair hood .
The vehicle was supplied new with the black hood .
We want to keep the car exactly as it came out of the factory. However there is a window of opportunity at this stage to choose a colour on the hood and burgundy would look lovely with the matching interior.
This E-type has a very good history file.
And the mileage is 100% confirmed.
There cannot be many 1 owner examples left.
This vehicle is showing two owners, but father and son.
The son taking ownership, approximately 20 years ago
A bit of blurb about the car is below.

* 54, 412 miles from new

According to its accompanying Jaguar Heritage Certificate, chassis 1S2317 was completed on August 22nd 1973. Finished in Silver with Russet leather upholstery and a Black soft-top, the E-Type was despatched to distributor P. J. Evans of Birmingham some three weeks later and thence to the marque’s Castle St, Worcester franchisee. Purchased new by the father and first road registered as ‘SFK 600M’ on 18th January 1974, the two-seater is warranted to have covered a mere 54, 412 miles. Accumulating the majority of those during the 1970s (including several, memorable school runs), the Roadster was primarily restricted to holiday usage thereafter with trips to France and Cornwall. Driven less and less over the past thirty years, the Jaguar has nonetheless been treated to a fair amount of remedial work and minor restoration. Entrusted to leading marque specialist CMC of Bridgnorth in 2008, the E-type received attention to its power steering, brakes (new discs / pads), suspension bushes, rear subframe / differential, carburettors, fuel lines and cooling system etc plus the fitment of a stainless steel exhaust and five fresh tyres at a cost of £12, 425. 58. Benefiting from a new clutch slave cylinder and brake servo during 2009 and 2016 respectively, the Roadster was repainted by Worcester Classic Cars Ltd in 2017. The same company installed a new brake master cylinder and ignition pack during 2022. Awesome Auto Trimming of Cambridgeshire deep cleaned the upholstery / carpets as well as renewing the soft-top / boot mat and detailing the engine bay last year (associated £2, 369 invoice on file). Passing from father to son in 2015, the latter comments: ‘a reluctant sale given the family history but I no longer have the time or budget to keep ‘SFK 600M’ in the condition it deserves’…
