Fully documented service history and verified mileage.
In 2017 and less than 20, 000 miles ago the engine and gearbox were removed. The engine was stripped down to the crankcase and the cylinder barrels, pistons and cylinder heads were fully cleaned and measured and all were found to be within specification. The cylinder heads were overhauled with new valves, guides, oil seals and springs. The pistons were ultrasonically cleaned and new rings fitted. At the same time the clutch was replaced. The total cost was in excess of €10, 000. The service history folder confirms the mileage and consistent and correct maintenance have been carried out by all previous owners.
The exterior paintwork is in special order Velvet Red Metallic (paint code L81L) and it looks absolutely amazing and changes shade subtly in different weather conditions. Colour match is excellent, with a deep shine and only a few age related chips or scratches. All glass is in good condition and new headlights and side repeaters were fitted in 2023. Michelin tyres are fitted and the wheels are in good condition but starting to show some fading.
All Porsche 911 interiors are built to a high standard and the material chosen really do wear very well. The seats show normal wear, there is no damage and they are still very supportive. Door cards, headlining and the dashboard are all unmarked.
Even though it had a relatively short production span, the 964 really has proven itself as an icon in the 911 family. A perfect blend of classic but modern not just aesthetically but also in how it drives and handles. This is a very collectible Porsche.
