Description
The BMW E60 M5, introduced in 2004, set new benchmarks with its 5. 0-liter V10 engine, derived from BMW's Sauber Formula One program, and a 7-speed paddle-shift SMG transmission. Notably, it was the world's first production sedan to feature a V10 gasoline engine. Enhanced by a full Hartge package, this M5 boasts not only a more aggressive aesthetic but also performance upgrades, distinguishing it from the standard model. Available as both a sedan and, exclusively in Europe, the E61 Touring (wagon), the E60 M5 could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/ h in as little as 4. 1 seconds in magazine tests, making it the fastest four-door sedan of its time.
Exterior: The outside of the car features a really nice color called Silverstone II Metallic, a light blue-silver hue best admired in person. The paint is in great condition, just like the rest of the exterior. This BMW E60 M5 stands out with its Hartge package, which includes an extra front lip, a different rear spoiler with a larger diffuser, and 21-inch Hartge split wheels. The car also sits on upgraded and slightly lowered suspension for a more aggressive look and improved handling.
Interior: The interior of this E60 M5 is finished in "Merino" leather, a bright leather that really lights up the cabin and has a beautiful appeal. Inside, the Hartge branding continues with the brand logo visible on the steering wheel, carpets, and pedals. The interior is packed with lots of useful and convenient equipment, such as active side bolsters, a head-up display, a HiFi sound package, parking distance control, memory seats, and more. The interior is in great condition and shows minimal signs of wear.
Engine and Mechanics: Under the hood of this E60 M5 is the legendary BMW S85 engine, a naturally aspirated V10 originally producing 507 hp. What makes this engine shine is the exhaust note. With the more free-flowing Hartge exhaust system, this car sounds absolutely amazing—a true Formula One sound for the road. This beast of an engine is paired with BMW's SMG 3, an aggressive sequential manual gearbox that can also be enjoyed in full automatic mode. Mechanically, the car runs great and has received excellent care and maintenance over the years.
History and Documentation: This 2005 BMW E60 M5 Hartge was originally sold in Sweden. The car has only had two owners throughout its life and has covered a mere 77, 000 km. As previously mentioned, the car has received excellent maintenance, with full service history exclusively at BMW-certified service centers. The car comes with its original books, a complete tool kit, and extensive paperwork (maintenance bills, MOT papers, etc.).
