Description
The Audi Quattro is one of the most significant cars of the post-war era with the initial plan to build just 400 for motorsport homologation but it was soon clear that there was strong demand so production was ramped up and began in 1981.
Early road tests identified that this was something special with the throbby 5-cylinder turbo engine providing over 200 bhp and probably the safest handling car of its era with the clever 4-wheel drive system its rally success speaks for itself.
This beautiful Nautic blue car was the last iteration of the Coupe with a red display digital dash improved differential and a more powerful 20-valve engine. With only 5 owners this UK-supplied car has enjoyed continuous servicing with some 26 stamps in the service book and a superb history file with all invoices, sales brochures specialist information sheets and all original handbooks including the service book are present. These cars are over-engineered and able to cover high mileage with proper maintenance so please do not confuse this car with an average condition Quattro as she has been cherished and very well maintained.
Any maintenance required has been attended to year by year and is chronically itemised in the file including a Miltek stainless steel exhaust. On the road, she is still remarkable with an eagerness and poise many modern cars would be jealous of.
Supplied fully inspected, serviced with 12 months warranty.
