This is the shop truck from the Discovery show Fast & Loud, built by Gas Monkey Garage and signed by Richard Rawlings!
HISTORY
Titled to David Kaufman in Texas and owned by Gas Monkey Garage and customised specifically for the Discovery show Fast n Loud featuring Richard Rawlings and Arron Kaufman and used as a shop truck for the first two seasons until it was purchased by ‘Big’ Chris Smith from the UK. He exported it to the UK to tour Europe in 2013 and was sold to me in 2016. I have used it as a summer working truck covering over 8000 trouble-free miles. I have replaced the rocker cover gaskets, battery, all four tyres, air conditioning re-gas, oil service, new distributor, new floors, new cab pins and a new battery tray. We have a copy of Arron Kaufman’s hand written spec list which is as follows:
• Stock 1989 5. 0 fuel injected 302 cu in Ford Crown Victoria V8
• 1989 3-speed with overdrive Ford Crown Victoria transmission
• 1989 Ford Crown Vic frame mounted fuel pump
• Front suspension is Ford Crown Vic (2003-2005) with duel piston 12 inch front discs
• Rear suspension is leaf spring stock 1967 F100
• Shocks are mounted out board
• Modified 2003/ 2005 Ford Crown Vic sway bar
• Rear axle 2003 Ford F150
• Vintage air conditioning
• American Racing wheels
• Snake skin bench seat
• Leather covered dash board
• Side exit exhaust
• Hand painted Gas Monkey door graphics
The truck has been featured on stage at the Petrolheadinism show and the dash was signed by special guest Richard Rawlings. Also featured on the cover of the July 2024 Classic Cars magazine with a double page spread inside. This car is tax exempt but as it is highly modified it still needs to be MOTed. The current test is until August 2024 and a new test will be performed for the next owner. This truck handles way better than it has any right to, stops well and even returns palatable fuel economy!
SPECIFICATION
Patina throughout that’s been clear-coated, re-gassed vintage air conditioning, 3-speed with overdrive transmission, 5. 0 V8, American Racing wheels, Ford Crown Vic front clip, snake skin bench seat, Grant steering wheel, single CD head-unit. ‘Jesus Saves’ sticker still present!
CONDITION
Wearing is 50+ years of patina with pride, clear-coated for protection this truck is fundamentally solid and looks just as it did on the show. Tyres have plenty of tread, wheels are in excellent condition with just some lacquer lift to the diamond cut rims, interior has good carpets with a leather covered dash and snake skin covered seats. Tax exempt and registered as a history vehicle so ULEZ exempt too. File with lots of interesting and important paperwork. Insured for $75, 000 as that’s how much Gas Monkey Garage have quoted to source and customise a replica. Absolutely unique and sound incredible.
