This stunning E-Type roadster has had a nut and bolt ground up restoration. The following works were carried out;
- Strip entire car down, removing all mechanical components, Body and Trim fittings
- Sand Blast all metalwork back to bare metal
- Cut away all corroded areas to eliminate any rusty metal in body tub and bonnet
- Re Fabricate all affected areas with new panels. IE: Nearside and offside floor pans, nearside and offside inner and outer sills, lower boot floor. Bulkhead footwells, Door skins, bonnet lower front and pair of wings
- All new front engine and suspension frames
- Prep and paint body in Jaguar Opalescent Gunmetal to a top concours standard
- Nickel plate all suspension parts, all brackets, nuts and bolts and all fixings. Build up with all new suspension joints, steering joints and rubber bushes etc
- Re-Chrome all brightwork to high concours standard using Derby Plating. Reshape bumpers to fit perfectly
- Totally rebuild the original engine using fast road cams. Engine was run in and tested on dyno before fitting to the car. Dyno test results showed that it produces 285hp and 310 lb ft of torque
- Brand new Tremec 5 speed manual gearbox with competition clutch
- Super light clutch pedal created by engineering a centrifugal thrust release bearing replace the old leaver arm type
- Handmade stainless exhaust system from manifold to tailpipe
- Fossway aluminium radiator with high performance electric fan
- Competition type wheels with Avon tyres
- Upgraded brakes with 4 pot aluminium callipers and vented discs to front, stainless steel callipers to rear
- Fully rebuilt carburettors and manifold with our design inlet trumpets for intakes
- Upgraded damping all around with new springs
- Upgraded Bluetooth compatible radio
- Fully trimmed in Connolly Vaumol St James red hide with Black Vaumol dash and door tops including all door trims etc. Leather bound Wilton carpets throughout and a Mohair hood
- All new glass
- Full reconditioned instruments and new wiring loom
- Electric power steering for ease of parking and slow manoeuvring
