Description
As one of only 1’366 examples built, this stunning Giulietta SS was first registered on the 7th of September 1961. The matricule number in the Swiss registration document would let us assume that the car was delivered in Switzerland. The early history of the Coupé is not known unfortunately. In the mid-90s the engine was probably completely overhauled and at around the same time the coach work and the interior were restored as well. In 2002 the SS was taken over by an Alfisti, who, in 2004, had a new crankshaft, new main bearings and new piston rings installed and in November of the same year had the cylinder head completely overhauled. In November 2005, the rear axle was revised, and in May 2016, in preparation for the MOT, a new fuel tank, new silencers as well as an electronic ignition were installed. Mid-March 2020 the Giulietta was taken over by its last owner who only used the car sparingly but made sure it was correctly maintained. We now offer a rare chance to become the next owner of a very rare Giulietta Sprint Speciale in good to very good condition with its last Veteran MOT from August 2022, surely a must for any comprehensive Alfa Romeo collection.
