KEY FACTS
• A well-loved example of the iconic off-roader with all common rust issues professionally dealt with.
• Under the bonnet sits a 3. 9-litre V8 engine, coupled to an automatic transmission.
• Complete with an exceptional history file and extensive service records.
• The car been treated to notable body and chassis repair work to bring it up to a good standard.
EQUIPMENT AND OPTIONS
• Delivered new to Land Rover at Lode Lane, Solihull, the BMIHT certificate suggests the car was delivered with Teal and Smokestone leather, though the current Savannah Beige velour looks original – so this the I believe to be a records error.
• Included with the sale of the vehicle is a veritable treasure trove of paperwork, including a journey log by previous owners, original service book and manuals, original sales brochure, BMIHT certificate, and a raft of invoices and other documentation.
• In addition to paperwork, there are numerous photos of the welding and restoration work carried out to the rear structure of the vehicle, which detail the process well.
One of the very last 'Classics’ to be built before the introduction of the P38 Range Rover in 1994.
The 'MA' prefix models for the 1995 model year vehicles were built from October 1994, this 'Portofino Red' example was built on the 23rd December 1994 and first registered on the 13th January 1995 as confirmed by factory build records from the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust. A certificate confirming this is included in the car's thick history folder.
Recently having undergone a full detail by CARVAULT CO including minor paint correction the car's original Portofino Red paintwork shines beautifully. Complemented by the 'Teddy Bear' velour interior upholstery in Savannah Beige, this car is a proper 90's Britain throwback.
The interior has held up incredibly well over its 26 years and only has a minor tear in the passenger seat, otherwise looks far better than leather would after this many years and miles covered.
Also included with the car is it’s original leather bound owners pack with owners manuals and fully stamped service book with 21 stamps shared between Land Rover themselves for the first couple of services before it was sold to its first private keeper who then serviced it at independent Land Rover specialists from then on. It has only had a few non Land Rover independent garages service it in its lifetime.
The car is registered as M183 KAC and is stamped at the front of the service book as being owned by Land Rover at Lode Lane, Solihull. They owned the vehicle for the first 2 years, first servicing it at 1, 000 miles putting around 8, 000 miles on it in just 5 months.
The car benefits from major recent works by LPME, Land Rover specialists locally including welding repairs to the bulkhead, a common area prone to corrosion. The car will be sold with a fresh MOT, oil service and new battery.
