In the early 1980s, Yamaha was battling Honda for supremacy in the motorcycle market. Honda management decided to show the world that the company was capable of a design and engineering feat that was far ahead of what any presumptuous rivals could do. That showpiece was the CX500 Turbo
Produced for one year only, the CX500 Turbo was Honda's first production bike to feature programmed fuel-injection and computer control of the turbocharging, ignition and numerous other advanced features
The 497cc, 80° V-twin was mounted longitudinally in the frame and its single turbo produced 19psi of boost, resulting in 82bhp
This example is in unrestored, original condition and confirmed running with a current MOT
UK-registered and supplied with a current V5C and some paperwork
