Description
This DB7 Vantage comes in the classic colour of Aston Martin Racing Green and has just been fully serviced and MOTd, to include new coils and plugs by Aston Martin specialist Chicane. As there aren’t that many DB7 Vantages of this colour, this a great opportunity to purchase one at a very reasonable price.
- The Car -
The DB7 gained supercar status with the V12, the first in AML’s production history. With Ian Callum updating the DB7 i6’s svelte body to give it a more muscular look, new suspension all round and that glorious V12 pushing out 420bhp, this was an altogether different car.
First registered on the 17th of March 2000 and bought by the current owner from HWM in 2006, this is a relatively standard car, but comes in the striking colour combination of Aston Martin Racing Green with a Magnolia and Forest Green leather interior. This car has the standard ZF 5 speed automatic gearbox and the usual Aston Martin DB7 Vantage refinements such as electric windows and air conditioning, but the audio equipment has been upgraded and a Meta Trak tracker has been installed.
- Its History -
In its current ownership, all servicing was first undertaken by HWM until 2016, then later by Nicholas Mee & Co. until 2020 and from 2021, this has been undertaken by Chicane in Hampshire.
In 2017, the car needed significant work, at a cost of £19K, that checked the whole car over and powder coated the underside. The most recent service has replaced the coils and plugs along, a very important service item, as well as having a fresh MOT valid until July 2025.
- On the Road -
As with all DB7 Vantages, the acceleration and pick-up are smooth across the rev range and when it comes to ride and road holding, the feel is one of control and stability. Steering and braking are good and progressive, feeding back well.
