Vehicle history:
Ford spent five hundred million marks on the further development of the XJ40 into the XJ of the X300 series. For this, it was possible to do more than just add more attractive headlights and lights to the bodywork, which remained virtually unchanged between the axles. This model has eleven percent fewer individual parts in the body framework, 16 percent more rigidity, more robust frames in the doors for better insulated wind noise, narrower body gaps, galvanized sheet metal, softer leather and finer wood, not only in the noble Daimler, Sovereign or Vanden Plas versions. This model series also has more comfortable seats and fluffier carpets. “Yes, Jaguar really went for it.” So wrote the car magazine Auto Motor und Sport at the time. A real luxury car of the nineties. Originally registered in Japan, the beautiful Jaguar found its way to Germany in 2023. It is offered with current TÜV (MOT) and the new owner is sure to acquire a future classic in very good condition with exceptionally low mileage.
