Description
The C209 CLK 63 AMG made its UK market debut in 2007 and had a relatively short production run of just under two years. The 6208cc naturally aspirated V8 developing 474 BHP was designed under the supervision of Bernd Ramler – famed designer of Porsche’s 5. 7 litre V10, powering the Carrera GT.
The C209 made real strides in development, replacing the old recirculating ball steering with a rack-and-pinion system, as well as introducing a three-link front suspension design and an aluminium multi-link rear.
Numbers were limited due to the relatively short production run and an even scarcer sight on the roads today.
Delivered new by Mercedes Bristol in September 2007, finished in Obsidian Black with Black Amaretta Nappa leather, and with the following factory fitted options:
• Speed sensitive Vario steering
• Parktronic system
• Heated front seats both with memory and climate function
• Keyless Go
• Rear side airbags
• Auto dimming mirrors
• Mobile pre-installation
• Tyre pressure loss warning
• Bi Xenon headlights with active curvelight
The car has been cherished all its life and subsequently well maintained with all invoices kept safely in the comprehensive history file.
