The GT-R is one of Nissan’s most legendary cars of all time. It even has a nickname - ‘Godzilla’ - and has been around in one form or another for more than 50 years. Throughout that time, it has stood for boundary-pushing performance and, in recent years, epic levels of handling ability and grip."

Its most recent incarnation (the R35) was launched (initially) in Japan in December 2007, replacing the previous Skyline GT-R. Now simply called ‘GT-R’, it followed a similar formula, with a hand-built hand twin-turbo V6 engine and high-tech all-wheel-drive running gear, giving 480bhp and 430lbs. ft of torque.

In terms of sheer point-to-point speed, little can touch the Nissan GT-R - not even some supercars. It has an almost other-worldly ability to find grip and traction, and deliver the driver enough confidence to utilise it, while the engine is truly explosive. It’s no wonder this car has such a cult following.

It’s a surprisingly good daily-driver too. The interior is roomy, the boot is big and such a clever all-wheel-drive system also aids high-speed stability. And, of course, there’s power in reserve at the merest tickle of the accelerator pedal.

Nissan’s range-topper is suitably loaded with equipment, and the infotainment system is particularly comprehensive. Buyers get the sort of access to on-board information normally reserved for Formula One engineers. You can enjoy a Bose 11-speaker sound system, although you may prefer the titanium exhaust instead.

Be in no doubt, this is a truly exotic high-end supercar. For a Nissan, it’s very expensive - consider it a half-price Ferrari, with the ability to embarrass many of Maranello’s finest cars.

This example was registered on 24th November 2009 and is presented in Black with a Black leather interior upholstery with contrasting Red piping. This GT-R has covered a mere 47, 000 and has only four former keepers. The car is supplied with four service invoices:

2013 - 14, 872 miles - Nissan, West Way Manchester
2015 - 21, 551 miles - Litchfield, Tewkesbury
2020 - 30, 687 miles - RB Motorsport, Mawdesley
2022 - 36, 420 - Riverside Group Ltd, Liverpool

A number of maintenance invoices are also supplied with the vehicle, including the all-imported Bell housing upgrade completed by Litchfield in 2016. A bundle of previous MOT certificates can be found in the history file, most recently from July 2024 which it passed with no advisories.

Outside the car the Black paintwork presents well, the brake calipers are painted in Lime green which really pop against the body colour. The mileage is commensurate with the interior, there is only a small scuff on the driver seat bolster, and apart from that there is minimal wear elsewhere inside.

These Nissan GT-Rs are fantastic pieces of kit, there is simply nothing else that can compete against them at this price point. Frighteningly quick with superb handling, it certainly lives up to its name as the ‘Supercar Killer’. Be sure not to miss this one, as they will certainly follow the Japanese trend of shooting up in value in the years to go, just look at its predecessors.

PLEASE NOTE: The car is recorded on HPI as ‘Category S Insurance Loss. Vehicle Extensively Damaged But Repairable - Insurer Decided Not To Repair 12/ 01/ 2024’. The HPI report also states that it was previously red, however, there is no evidence on the car that this was the case. The vendor is confident that the car has always been Black.
