Description
The 'Daytona' name was derived from American rider Buddy Elmore's win at the 1966 Daytona 200 race held at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. He achieved an average speed of 96. 6 mph on a 'works special' Triumph Tiger 100.
This 1972 Triumph Daytona 500 T100R has been part of a private motorcycle collection for a number of years. Sadly the owner has recently passed away and the collection is being slowly sold.
The Triumph is up and running, sounds great and, due to having an electronic ignition fitted, starts easily. We have ridden the bike around our yard and everything feels good. The bike also benefits from a new battery.
The paint work is in good order and the chrome is generally good. It cleans up nicely and is very respectable.
We would suggest that it is thoroughly checked over before hitting the road due to being unused for a number of years.
Bike is complete with history and paperwork, including the current V5.
