Description
Lloyd lp600 Standard 1959
The Lloyd 600 was a small car (aka microcar) built by Borgward in Germany in the 1950s. It was designed to compete with the Volkswagen Beetle which sold in far greater numbers.
Our early Lloyd lp600 Standard 1959 is not to be mistaken for the “Lloyd lp600 Alexander”, they are different models. The “Standard” is not as common as the “Alexander”, there are also other differences and the main one being that the “Standard” has 3-gears and the “Alexander” 4-gears.
This Lloyd was purchased new in Frankfurt, Germany on 17. 08. 1959 and imported to Finland very shortly after that.
It is quite rare to have the original bill of sale, handbooks and service manual like this vehicle has.
In 2021 it was given a full restoration, driven around 200 km since completion. It is in great exhibition condition and ready to be enjoyed. We have some photos throughout the restoration.
The original colour was Yellow, then at some stage of its life it was painted red. Now it has been painted in this very attractive silver/ grey that is an original colour used by Lloyd’s.
Interior has also been totally renewed.
Worldwide transport is available for this attractive Lloyd lp600 Standard 1959
Please know that I will help you in every way possible with the purchase. I have good contacts for shipping the vehicle all over the world. If you would like to come and view the vehicle before purchasing that would be great but if it isn’t possible to come and view, I will do my best to give you as much information and as many photos as you require. I purchase vehicles from foreign countries, so I know exactly the situation you are in.
