Description
WE RESTORED THIS GENIUNE WARTIME WILLYS MB JEEP IN RAF LIVERY TO DEPICT A VEHICLE A CLOSE RELATION WAS PHOTOGRAPHED DRIVING IN SINGAPORE IN THE 1945/ 6 PERIOD AT TENGAI AIRFIELD. IT HAS BEEN OWNED BY ME SINCE 1978 AND WAS RESTORED 3 YEARS AGO. THIS INVOLVED A COMPLETE STRIP DOWN TO BARE CHASSIS AND ALL COMPONENTS WERE REBUILT, INCLUDING THE ENGINE ( FULLY REBORED AND CRANK GROUND ETC) , GEARBOX AND AXLES. ALL NEW BRAKES AND WIRING LOOM. EVERYTHING THAT NEEDED DOING WAS DONE. COMPLETE WITH ITS GENUINE 1950S , EX WD ALLOCATED NUMBER PLATE. DRIVES SUPERBLY AND ALWAYS GETS A GREAT DEAL OF ATTENTION AS ITS IN RAF LIVERY RATHER THAN THE UBIQUITOUS US ARMY OLIVE DRAB. WHAT BETTER WAY TO ENJOY A TRIP TO THE LOCAL CAR DAY OR GOODWOOD THAN IN THIS ICON OF MOTORING HISTORY.
