Description
Made famous by motorsport and Hollywood stars such as Steve McQueen and Sharon Tate, the first 911 was such a commercial success that, 60 years later, it remains one of the most sought-after classics. With its iconic design and almost contemporary handling, this is a collector's item that is a joy to drive!
The T version of the 911 'Urmodell' was introduced in 1967 as an entry-level model, but retained much of the technological development that characterised the first 911. With a 2. 2-litre flat-six engine, the 911 T produced 125 hp – enough power to reach a top speed of 200 km/ h!
Behind the beautiful Fuchs alloy wheels are ventilated disc brakes and the well-tuned chassis makes its cornering behavior not only efficient, but also great fun.
This superb Porsche 911 T Targa was sold to its first owner in Los Angeles in June 1971. It has recently undergone a complete nut & bolt restoration in the Netherlands.
It is in the original 'Signal Red' colour, has the fantastic Recaro seats, 15-inch Fuchs rims and fog lights as extras and is a 100% Matching Numbers car. It comes with a Kardex, Certificate of Historical Interest and a file with maintenance history.
