This is a beautiful example of a Classic British sports car. The subject of a nut and bolt rebuild, it was commissioned in 2020 and boasts a comprehensive set of performance improvements (see the long list of features on the attached spec sheet)
This car looks great with chrome wires, a traditional period grey paint job (Grampian Grey was used on MGB GTs in the 1960’s) which contrasts perfectly against the interior.
Centre stage is the engine conversion, replacing the (some would say) heavy and slow MG B series engine, with an aluminium, 3. 5 litre, rover V8 tuned to Stage II specification. This is completely road legal and has been properly registered with DVLA. Mileage has been low since build date, so this is a good car to buy with the intention of keeping it for the long term.
It’s breathtaking to drive, with a fantastic V8 sound track and once you climb in and take it for a run , you won’t want to get out. And why would you? Inside the car is a very nice place to be - as you can see in the photographs, it has a brand new red interior with a matching soft top, comfortable reupholstered, heated seats, 12v accessory sockets, and new carpets on top of sound / heat proof underlay.
With completely rebuilt suspension and brakes, the handling and stopping is in accordance with what the engine power demands. This is a proper driver’s car and all you have to do is drive it - no worries about worn out, old components as there aren’t any..
If it’s so great - why is it for sale? Answer - the owner is retiring and moving abroad, and so needs to clear out the garage.
It’s sad to move it on, but hopefully it will go to a new owner who will continue to cherish and enjoy it, as much as it has been up to now.
If this MGB catches your eye, please contact promptly, as a lot of interest is expected and it’s likely to sell quickly.
If its has been sold by the time you see this ad, or you’re looking for a 4 cylinder spec, be sure to see another stunning car from the same collection:
