FORD 3000 SUPER DEXTA1966 CLASSIC TRACTOR FROM A PRIVATE COLLECTION

Ford 3000 Super Dexta in good all-round condition, an older restoration with some patina, been with the same collector owner for the last 20 years and very little used in that time, it starts runs and drives as well as it looks, pictures speak for themselves, it’s a very nice machine.
Sold by Erskine Tractors of Duntocher, on the Clydebank, in January 1966 to a Mr Lamot, it was originally road registered but the documents have not been kept up to date, the current owner had no need for them and now sadly the number has been removed at the DVLA, we have no registration documents, they will need applying for, we can help and advise the buyer with this, the tractor is priced accordingly.
Starts very well with no heat or help, runs lovely with no smoke, pulls like a train, working brakes and handbrake, smooth clutch, all gears high / low easily selected, hydraulics working, no noticeable leaks or drips, oil and water in right places, antifreeze mix is good, no spitting or breathing from the dipstick when running, see pics and video.
2221 hrs on a working tacho, believed to be correct, the tractor was restored many years ago using all the original front tin work, with new wings, seat and steering wheel, but the clock was retained and not reset, just had a new cable fitted. During the work the engine was replaced like for like, no signs of any frost damage or repairs. We have a handwritten letter supplied by the current 20-year owner detailing all this and the registration details plus an original owner’s manual.
Very good to drive with no steering wobble or wander, goes along at some pace in top gear, make a great road run tractor with the reg sorted. Presentable paint finish all over, ready to go to shows, fairs, events and have some fun, its not the best, most pristine, better than when it left the factory tractor, it’s a really well presented use and enjoy tractor, you could take it to shows or put it to work.
It’s not been used regularly whilst in the collection, lights not currently working, not looked at them. Three tyres showing age cracks but no slows or leaks, one rear is fairly new, few minor dinks on the edge of the rear wheel rims and the lack of registration are the only niggles, after a good run about there where no signs of any leak’s underneath, again see the pics and video.
