Description
On offer is this outstanding 1965 ('64 built) Ford Mustang 289 Coupe finished in a beautiful shade of blue with white vinyl roof and white trim, all specified as new from the factory. Built in the San Jose plant, the car spent most of its life in California coming to the UK in 2014 since when it has had just one owner. The climate is far kinder and as a result, the car has no rust, the paint being refreshed in 2015 through sun damage, the vinyl roof and seat covering were also replaced at the same time. The carpets are original and retain the original feel.
Supplied as an 'A' code car, it was equipped with power steering, power brakes, cruise-o-matic (auto) gearbox and a four barrel carb. More recently, the brakes have been overhauled and the standard drums replaced by a Scott Drake disc conversion.
With its 4. 7 litre engine and four barrel Holley carb, the car is no slouch and having had a comprehensive suspension overhaul in 2020 also handles surprisingly well.
The car has been a joy to own and is now ready for someone else to take pleasure from owning it.
For sale on behalf of the owner and whilst inspected is sold without warranty.
