Description
The NSU RO80 was built as an upper mid-range saloon from 1967 to 1977. Not only was its wedge-shaped bodywork unusual for the 1960s, the Ro80 also offered very modern technical features: 4-wheel disc brakes, power steering, independent suspension, automatic clutch and, of course, the rotary engine. Initial engine problems were solved quickly and amicably, but were enough to give the car a bad image, which it still has today. The Ro80 for sale was registered as a new car in Switzerland in 1970. After being decommissioned for 25 years, the last owner took it over in 2016 with 33, 000 kilometres on the clock. After thorough servicing and a repaint, the car has since completed 18, 000 kilometres without any problems. It presents itself in excellent original condition with matching numbers. Of course, the owner's manual, original tools, jack etc. are present.
