Description
1976 Porsche 911 2. 7 S Coupe
79, 300 miles from new
A highly original preservation class contender
Supplied new by official agent Competition Porsche & Audi of New York in June 1976. Finished in India red with burgundy leatherette interior. Specification includes Fuchs alloy wheels, leather steering wheel, Blaupunkt radio with Hirschman aerial. Tectyl protected from new which has obviously helped preserve the remarkable original condition it presents in today.
Excellent history file which documents both provenance and service history. According to documents on file the first owner appears to have retained the car until 2015 shortly after which the car arrived in Europe. Sold in 2019 by a highly regarded dealer in the Netherlands, known for selling only the most original cars. At this point it was noted that the car was completely original right down to the original paint. We would urge any potential buyer to satisfy themselves that this is the case but it certainly looks it to our eyes and paint depths correspond too. Displaying only gentle patina from years of polishing, the India red still retains a great lustre today. Since arriving here in the UK servicing has been carried out by the highly regarded JZM.
Comes complete with original owners handbook, warranty and service book in the correct wallet, spare key in original pouch, tyre compressor and tool kit. Even the key for the Hischman aerial is present. Cars as correct as this are very hard to find. Not comparable to a restored car. Originality at its best.
