This 1987 C4 has had one UK owner for the last 22 years and it has had very little use in that time. The mileage on the car is a mere 44, 171 from new and that is supported by clean a Carfax Report as well as all it's UK mot history etc.
THE CAR HAS COVERED ONLY 7 MILES IN THE LAST 13 YEARS.
OPTIONS. The car has some really nice factory options such as the Z52 Sport Handling Package ( you want to read up on the, it's quite comprehensive ), the KC4 Engine oil cooler & the VO1 Heavy duty radiator.
CONDITION. The car has been garage stored since Covid although started on a regular basis. Before that it had not really been on the road since 2011 although still garaged throughout, with the owner simply "Driving round the block every few months just to keep it mobile", his actual words when we collected the car. The actual mot history shows this C4 has covered only 7 miles in the last 13 years. We have put a new battery in place and she struck up first time. During that storage period, the owner of 21 years fitted a brand new white soft-top which fits perfectly, plus the car had a recent full sports exhaust. The interior remains in really good shape and so does the paintwork, the only paint exception being some very fine micro blistering on the top of the rear deck.
WHAT WORKS & WHAT DOESN'T. Just about everything on the car is working as it should, even the complete LED dash pod, all good. Power windows, both power seats, power mirrors, horn, wipers, heater fans etc - all good. Both headlight raise & lower as they should. There are no leaks that we can see, not even from the p/ steering. The only sign that the car has been in storage is a slight brake bind, although not enough to prevent driving. The A/ C is not blowing cold, which is no surprise as the car has been in storage for so long, and the electric aerial is stuck. Finally, I guess you'd refurb the alloys if only to bring them up to the same standard as the rest of the car.
So, that's about it, this auto C4 Convertible is a warranted low mileage car, option loaded and one of the best colour combos you will find anywhere. The soft-top is brand new and the sports exhaust is recent. Overall it's a car to check through and then mot before use due to it's recent hibernation. But after saying that, everything seems to be working except for the aerial and a/ c, it starts first time, drives, stops and presents very well.
I set the bidding with a five grand start and no reserve, and quite honestly, it's worth loads, loads more. We are selling the car just as we have removed it from storage with the exception of a new battery which is now installed. Obviously the car wants a full check over and mot as it's been laid up for so long, but be assured, I doubt you'll find much wrong. You are more than welcome to come and view and spend as long as you want with the car, we'll even provide the trolley jacks. The car is totally genuine and should make a lovely C4 Convertible for some-one with very little effort.
